Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU OH) The organization is seeking a highly experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a busy, high-acuity ICU located in an acute care setting. This role involves providing specialized care to patients with complex cardiac needs, including heart transplants, lung transplants, LVAD patients, and those undergoing valve surgeries. Flexibility for floating and working night shifts is required to meet the unit's demands.
Job Details
- Location: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week, scheduled based on unit needs.
- Required Qualifications: Licensed RN with at least 2 years of ICU experience, current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications, willing to wait for license submission, and experienced with EPIC charting system.
- Preferred Qualifications: CRRT training is preferred but will be trained if necessary.
- Responsibilities: Care for critically ill cardiac patients including titration of vasoactive drips, management of equipment such as vents, CPAP, BiPAP, LVAD, Impella, IABP, and CRRT devices. Ability to float out as needed based on competency.
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Additional Information: Unit comprises high-acuity patients, with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2 and occasionally 1:1. First to float depending on competency, with specific device management responsibilities.
