Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Telemetry Float Pool RN requiring active MA licensure and willingness to float across 8 units within a large hospital system.

Details

• Float Pool RN position covering 8 different Med/Surg Telemetry units including Davenport 5, 7, 8, 9, ED, PH6/7, Pingree 4, and Overflow
• Hospital has 371 total beds with unit census ranging from 8 to 41 beds
• Patient population includes ED boarder patients, medication administration in acute mental health unit, and non-vented transfer-ready ICU patients
• Clinician to patient ratio up to 5:1 on days/evenings and up to 6:1 on nights
• Schedule rotates between days/evenings with 1 to 3 night rotations per contract
• Requires every-other-weekend coverage
• 36 or 48 hour weekly commitment
• Uses EPIC EMR for charting
• Free on-site parking available

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required (no conditional or pending licenses accepted)
• AHA BLS certification required
• 2 years of acute care hospital experience in one location required
• 2 years of experience working as a Traveler required
• Telemetry monitoring skills including measuring intervals and interpreting strips every 4 hours
• TR Band experience required
• Must be able to perform cardiac drips and read tele strips
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed

Additional Information

• Responsible for cardiac monitoring, cardiac drips, and reading telemetry strips
• Local candidates accepted if permanent residence is within 60 miles of the hospital, with rate adjusted accordingly
• Must be willing to float across all listed units as needed
