Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med/Surg Telemetry Float Pool RN with an active MA license to float between 8 units on a rotating shift and every-other-weekend schedule.

Details

• Float pool position covering 8 Med/Surg Telemetry areas throughout the hospital (Davenport 5, 7, 8, 9, ED, PH6/7, Pingree 4, and Overflow)
• Care for ED border patients, serve as medication nurse in the acute mental health unit, and care for non-vented, transfer-ready ICU patients
• 371-bed hospital with unit census ranging from 8 to 41 beds
• Clinician to patient ratio up to 5:1 on days/eves and up to 6:1 on nights
• Rotating Days/Eves schedule with 1 to 3 rotations to Nights per contract
• Works 36 or 48 hours per week with every other weekend requirement
• Uses EPIC EMR system
• Performs telemetry monitoring, including measuring intervals and interpreting strips every 4 hours

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required (no conditional licenses accepted)
• AHA BLS certification required
• 2 years of acute care hospital experience in one location required
• 2 years of experience working as a Traveler required
• Telemetry monitoring experience including strip interpretation required
• Experience performing Cardiac Drips required
• TR Band experience required
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
