Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele Float Pool RN with active MA licensure and telemetry experience to float between 8 units on a night/EOW schedule.

Details

• Float pool position covering 8 Med/Surg Tele areas including Davenport 5, 7, 8, 9, ED, PH6/7, Pingree 4, and Overflow
• 36 to 48 hours per week on nights, 19:00-07:30, with every other weekend required
• Care for ED boarder patients, medication administration in the acute mental health unit, and non-vented ICU patients who are transfer ready
• Facility bed count of 371 with unit census ranging from 8 to 41 beds
• Clinician to patient ratio up to 5:1 on days/eves and up to 6:1 on nights
• Primarily scheduled days/eves with 1 to 3 rotations to nights per contract
• Uses EPIC EMR for charting
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required (no conditional or pending licenses accepted)
• AHA BLS certification required
• 2 years of acute care hospital experience in one location required
• 2 years of experience working as a traveler required
• Telemetry monitoring experience including measuring intervals and interpreting strips every 4 hours
• Experience with TR Band required
• Must be able to perform cardiac drips and read telemetry strips
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed

Additional Information

• Responsible for cardiac monitoring, cardiac drips, and reading telemetry strips across multiple floating units
• Must be willing and able to float to any of the 8 designated units as needed
