Description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN requiring ACLS and experience recovering post-cath and pacemaker patients for a Cardiac Telemetry unit on a 7A-7P schedule.

Details

  • 36-bed Cardiac Telemetry unit (7N) with full day and night shift staffing
  • Patient ratios of 4 to 5:1
  • Uses Pyxis, Alaris pumps, and Welch Allyn vitals machines
  • Meditech EMR used
  • Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
  • Floating required to other telemetry departments, med-surg, and PCU
  • 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule (Saturday and Sunday for day shift)

Requirements

  • Active RN license (Missouri or Compact) required
  • ACLS certification required
  • NIH Stroke certification preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of recent experience in telemetry nursing required
  • Experience recovering post-cath patients (no sheath removal) and pacemaker placements required
  • Experience with stroke patients, amiodarone drips, and Cardizem drips required
  • No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
  • Two professional references required for Missouri-based positions
  • US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)

Additional Information

  • Provide direct patient care to cardiac telemetry patients including post-cath and pacemaker recovery, stroke care, and drip management
  • Fast-paced environment requiring strong teamwork and high energy
  • Grey scrub attire required for RNs
  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted
