Description

American Traveler is hiring a Float Pool M/S Telemetry RN requiring an active MA RN license and prior travel nursing experience, willing to float among multiple med/surg units on a night shift schedule.

Details

  • Float pool position covering 8 different Med/Surg Telemetry units, including Davenport 5, 7, 8, 9, ED, PH6/7, Pingree 4, and Overflow
  • Care for ED boarder patients, serve as medication nurse in the acute mental health unit, and manage non-vented, transfer-ready ICU patients
  • Facility bed count of 371, with unit census ranging from 8 to 41 beds
  • Clinician to patient ratios up to 5:1 on days/evenings and up to 6:1 on nights
  • Night shift schedule (19:00-07:30) with every other weekend required
  • Primarily days/evenings rotation with 1 to 3 rotations to nights per contract
  • Uses EPIC EMR for charting
  • 36 hours per week, 13-week assignment

Requirements

  • Active Massachusetts RN license required (no conditional or pending licenses accepted)
  • AHA BLS certification required
  • 2 years of acute care hospital experience in one location required
  • 2 years of experience working as a Traveler required
  • Telemetry monitoring experience including measuring intervals and interpreting strips every 4 hours
  • TR Band experience required
  • Must be able to perform cardiac drips and read tele strips
  • Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed

Additional Information

  • Responsible for cardiac monitoring, cardiac drips, and reading telemetry strips
  • Must be willing to float to any of the 8 designated units as needed
  • Free on-site parking available
  • Local candidates accepted, but must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for standard travel rate
  • Time keeping managed through UKG/Kronos
