Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Telemetry RN for a Level I trauma center, requiring 2+ years of experience and float availability to med-surg units.

Details

  • 28-bed cardiac telemetry unit caring for all cardiac needs including post-op care
  • Nurse to patient ratio of 1:4-6
  • Unit supported by PCTs, healthcare unit coordinator, virtual sitter monitoring, and monitor techs
  • Level I trauma center serving patients of all ages
  • Night shift schedule from 18:30-07:00
  • Required to float to cardiac telemetry and med-surg departments
  • Up to 6 weekend shifts required within a 6-week schedule period
  • Holiday coverage required if departmental need arises

Requirements

  • Active RN license (Standard or Compact) required
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
  • BLS certification required (AHA)
  • Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

  • Implement and monitor patient care plans while communicating patient condition to the care team
  • Serve as primary coordinator across disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
  • Carry out physician and nursing orders and assess discharge planning needs
  • Work within a team-based nursing model supported by PCTs and unit secretaries
  • Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced, stressful environment
  • Radius rules apply and may affect pay rate for local candidates
  • First-time travelers may be considered
