Description

American Traveler is hiring a Float Cardiac Telemetry RN with 2+ years of experience for a Level I trauma center requiring an OK or compact RN license.

Details

• 28-bed cardiac telemetry unit caring for all cardiac needs including post-op care
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:4-6
• Unit supported by PCTs, a healthcare unit coordinator, virtual sitter monitoring, and monitor techs
• Level I trauma center serving patients of all ages
• Night shift schedule from 18:30-07:00
• Float required to cardiac telemetry and med-surg departments
• Up to 6 weekend shifts required within a 6-week schedule period

Requirements

• Active OK or compact RN license
• Current BLS certification from the AHA
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Nursys verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols
• Implement and monitor patient care plans, documenting and communicating patient condition
• Coordinate care across disciplines and assist with discharge planning
• Work within a team-based nursing model supported by PCTs and a unit secretary
• Requires critical thinking, sound judgment, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Follow Standard Precautions using appropriate personal protective equipment
• Holiday coverage required if departmental need arises
• Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate depending on facility location
• Only one submission permitted per candidate system-wide within Ascension
