Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Telemetry RN for a night shift position requiring 2 years of cardiac/tele experience and a WI or compact RN license.

Details

• Cardiac Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Cares for MS, MS/Tele, and Telemetry patients with floating to all care areas as needed
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirement
• May require holiday coverage
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of cardiac/telemetry nursing experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• IMC experience preferred
• Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, post-MI and pre/post cardiac surgery care, IV insulin protocols, feeding tube care, renal failure and pre/post hemodialysis management, IV therapy, chest tubes, nasal cannulas, and wound care
• Must be able to shave for proper mask seal during respirator fit testing
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care to cardiac telemetry patients including monitoring, medication management, and post-procedure care
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Must be clean-shaven to ensure proper mask seal for fit testing; CAPRs and PAPRs are not provided and personal use is not permitted, with no medical or religious exemptions
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates who have worked as a traveler for more than 1 year must take a 6-month break before returning
• Candidates residing within 70 miles of the facility are considered local and are not accepted
