Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Telemetry RN with prior charge and cath/EP lab pre/post-procedure experience for a day shift travel assignment.

Details

• Cardiac Telemetry unit serving as pre/post care for Cath Lab, EP Lab, PV Lab, and Interventional Radiology patients
• Cares for Same Day PCI patients and those requiring arterial and venous access management
• Not all patients require telemetry monitoring
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 8:00 AM-8:30 PM, Monday through Friday
• No weekends or holidays required
• Uses Epic EMR
• Travelers may be floated to any Cone Health campus as needed

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required in hand at time of consideration
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Previous Charge RN experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Knowledge of arterial and venous access site monitoring and hemostasis management required
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and EKG skills required
• Current driver's license required for address verification

Additional Information

• Monitor and manage arterial and venous access patients, including radial and ulnar access
• Interpret dysrhythmias and provide cardiac monitoring and emergency response
• All RNs must pass a compliance EKG exam during onboarding, with two attempts allowed
• Study materials for the EKG exam are not provided by the facility
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility, and local rates do not apply
• RTO must be submitted at the time of application; no post-submission RTO requests accepted
