Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Progressive Care Unit – Seattle, WA 98122

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Seattle, Washington

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30). Every other weekend required. Flexibility to float to similar units as needed. Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).

Highlights:

• Surgical Telemetry PCU specializing in cardiac care including myocardial infarction, arrhythmias, and pre/post open-heart surgery patients
• Patient population includes vascular surgery patients, coronary artery disease, heart failure, and post-cath lab patients with or without interventions
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 (may be 1:5 at midnight)
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• 36-bed unit with daily census of 32 patients, caring for adult and geriatric populations
• Opportunity to work with specialized cardiac procedures including LVAD, TAVR, chest tubes, and epicardial pacer management

Requirements:

• Active Washington RN license or Compact license
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Epic charting system experience is mandatory
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Surgical telemetry experience with open heart surgery and vascular procedures required
• Proficiency in radial/groin band management, IV skills, and dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience with chest tubes, sternal precautions, and managing patients 24-28 hours post-open heart surgery
• Ability to manage cardiac and vasoactive drips (titration experience preferred)
• Two professional references covering one year of experience within the last three years
