Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Progressive Care Unit – Seattle, WA 98122

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Seattle, Washington

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30). Every other weekend required. Flexibility to float to similar units as needed.

Highlights:

  • Surgical Telemetry Progressive Care Unit specializing in cardiac patients including pre/post open-heart surgery, vascular surgery, myocardial infarction, and specialized structural heart support
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 (may be 1:5 at midnight)
  • 36-bed unit with daily census of 32 patients, caring for adult and geriatric populations
  • Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more
  • 91-day travel assignment with competitive compensation and support
  • Opportunity to work with advanced cardiac procedures including LVAD, TAVR, chest tubes, and epicardial pacemaker management

Requirements:

  • Active Registered Nurse license (Compact license accepted)
  • Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
  • Epic charting system experience is mandatory
  • Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
  • Required clinical experience: surgical telemetry, open-heart surgery, vascular surgery with groin/radial band management, and advanced IV skills
  • Strong background in cardiac conditions including arrhythmias, coronary artery disease, heart failure, and post-cardiac catheterization care
  • Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and management, chest tube care, sternal precautions, blood product administration, and cardiac/vasoactive drip management
  • Previous travel nursing experience required
  • Must be flexible with floating to similar units and available to work 3 of 5 major holidays
  • Two professional references covering one year within the last three years
