Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Adult Emergency Department role requiring at least one year of ED experience and a compact or Oklahoma RN license.

Details

  • Adult Emergency Department setting within a hospital
  • Patients present with a range of health issues from simple to complex, requiring trauma readiness
  • Day shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours weekly
  • Trauma and travel required

Requirements

  • Active RN license (Oklahoma or multistate compact eNLC)
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
  • Minimum of one year of nursing experience required
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
  • Strong knowledge of nursing theories, practices, and techniques
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Full date of birth and Social Security number required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provide direct nursing care to an assigned group of ED patients
  • Assist physicians with examinations, minor diagnostic procedures, and treatments
  • Administer medications and manage IV infusions and blood products
  • Document patient responses and communicate care plans with patients and families
  • Delegate tasks to support staff as needed
  • Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
  • Extensions limited to one time for a total of 26 weeks, with a required 6-month separation before reapplying
  • Credentialing and compliance deadlines are strictly enforced with no start date flexibility
  • 30-day written notice required for early cancellation or termination of assignment
