Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU | Travel | RN-ICU

Assignment Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in ICU care for travel assignments. The ideal candidate will join an acute care setting, providing critical care for post-surgical cardiovascular patients. The candidate should be adaptable, with a strong background in CVICU and capable of working in high-pressure environments.

Assignment Details

  • Start Date: Not specified
  • Shift Details: 12-hour nights (7p-7a)
  • Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
  • Holiday Requirements: Every other holiday
  • Floating Requirements: Float to all levels of care on the unit
  • Scrub Color/Dress Code: No specific color, must maintain proper appearance
  • Charting System: EPIC
  • Estimated gross weekly pay package: $3078 (negotiable)

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive care to post-surgical cardiovascular patients
  • Manage and titrate multiple drips, such as dopamine and dobutamine
  • Utilize specialized intervention equipment including IABPs and ECMO
  • Interpret cardiac strips and monitor patient vitals
  • Collaborate with respiratory therapists in management of ventilated patients
  • Work under the supervision of charge nurses and house supervisors

Qualifications

Required:

  • 2 years of CVICU experience
  • BLS Certification (AHA)
  • Strong assessment and critical thinking skills

Preferred:

  • ACLS Certification
  • CCRN Certification
