Assignment Overview

Seeking an experienced RN specializing in cardiovascular intensive care for a travel assignment in an acute care setting. The ideal candidate will have strong assessment and critical thinking skills, with the ability to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment. Experience with post-open heart surgical patients and titratable drips is essential.

  • Shift Details: 12hr nights (7p-7a), every other weekend required

  • Estimated gross weekly pay package: $3078 (negotiable)
  • Charting System: EPIC

Responsibilities

  • Care for post-open heart surgical patients and other cardiovascular procedures
  • Administer and titrate various drips such as dopamine, dobutamine, and vasopressin
  • Read and interpret cardiac monitor strips
  • Utilize specialized equipment including IABPs, Impellas, and CRRT
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals
  • Maintain strong communication and organizational skills

Qualifications

Required:

  • BLS (AHA) certification
  • At least 2 years of solid CVICU experience
  • Ability to work at a fast pace and manage stress effectively
  • Strong critical thinking and assessment skills

Preferred:

  • ACLS certification
  • CCRN certification is a plus
