Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on an Acute Cardiology unit in a Med/Surg setting
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions throughout the night shift
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Adhere to holiday scheduling requirements: expected to work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve)

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Medical/Surgical nursing
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in an acute cardiology or cardiac step-down unit
• Familiarity with night shift workflows in a high-acuity hospital environment
• Strong critical thinking and patient assessment skills in a fast-paced setting
