Trauma Data Specialist
Nebraska Medicine is seeking a Trauma Data Specialist to join the Trauma Program team. We are a level one adult and level 2 pediatric trauma center, verified by the American College of Surgeons. The Trauma Data Specialist is responsible for clinical data abstraction and coding for our trauma database.
We are looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, has strong time management skills, and possesses a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology.

Duties: Trauma Data Specialist
Supports our Trauma Program by accurately abstracting, coding, and reporting trauma data in compliance with state, national, and American College of Surgeons standards. Key responsibilities include: analyze medical records, code clinical and follow-up data using AIS, ICD-10, and registry guidelines with 95% accuracy, participate in quality assurance activities and maintain compliance with ACS verification standards, and ensure timely chart closure within 60 days of discharge to meet productivity benchmarks.
