Training Manager ANC Airport Location

The Training Manager owns Pegasus' training programs - design, delivery, compliance, and oversight of all training functions company-wide.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop training curricula, materials, and computer-based training (CBT) modules for new hire, recurrent, and specialized programs.

• Administer and maintain the company's Learning Management System (LMS)/CBT platform, including content updates and completion tracking.

• Implement training and organizational development programs, including technical/operational training (ramp, GSE, ground damage prevention, hazmat, deicing), management development, safety training, and train-the-trainer programs.

• Ensure initial/recurrent training complies with applicable DOT/FAA requirements and keep training policy current with regulatory agency directives.

• Identify current and future training needs; resolve training problems and tailor programs and CBT content accordingly.

• Monitor and evaluate training program effectiveness; modify programs and materials to improve results and report outcomes to senior management.

• Maintain training records IAW Pegasus's Operations Specifications and applicable ground handling standards (e.g., IATA AHM/ISAGO where applicable).

Qualifications

• Successful background investigation (FBI fingerprints, criminal history, pre-employment drug test); bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, not required.

• Minimum 3-5 years' aviation industry experience required; proven experience as a Training Manager, including OJT of new hires and staff.

• Experience assessing company training needs, lesson planning, development, and implementation, including CBT/e-learning authoring tools and LMS administration.

• Strong understanding of business goals; excellent communication and leadership skills; familiarity with traditional and modern training methods.

• Working knowledge of applicable ground handling regulations; advanced MS Office / Windows OS proficiency.

• Valid driver's license; 18+; U.S. citizenship or proof of right to work; fluent English (read/write/speak/understand).

• Able to work under pressure in a stressful, highly regulated environment; available nights, weekends, holidays, and inclement weather as required.

• Self-motivated; able to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision.

Language, Math & Reasoning:

• Read and interpret regulatory documents, safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals; write training and operations reports and correspondence; speak effectively one-on-one and to groups, including staff for whom English is a second language.

• Perform basic math across all units of measure.

• Apply sound judgment to written/oral/diagram instructions and handle variable, non-standardized problems.

Physical Demands:

• Moderate. Lift/carry/move/push/pull 30-50 lb components unassisted; 20/20 corrected vision (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception); good hearing; PPE compliance.

• Regular use of hands; frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling.

• Moderate AOA noise levels, occasionally high - hearing protection required and provided where applicable.
