Provide a short description of the Position: The position is in support (testing) of the UISIm project, a multi-year program effort to redesign, implement, and test business process improvements for the Department of Labor s customers, partners and internal staff. UISIm replaces the 40+ year old Unemployment Insurance (UI) legacy computer systems and manual procedures with a new and improved integrated computer system.
Provide a list of the day-to-day tasks to be performed by the Selected Candidate: Design and develop the following test artifacts: " Test Strategy document detailing how quality will be infused throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process " Test Scenarios/Test Cases (business entities/objects and their relationships) " Traceability matrix outlining the correlation between the requirements (functional & Non functional requirements), business rules, use cases, batches, interfaces, correspondences, reports and corresponding test scenarios, test cases. " Functional Test Plan describing the who, what, where, how, and why each business function will be tested " User Acceptance Test plan detailing entrance and exit criteria; including users in the process of decision-making re. testing specific business scenarios Specific activities include: 1.Create simple to complext SQL queries to verify tables are correctly populated 2.Participates in meetings with Business Analysts, Developers, and Architects in understanding requirements 3.Analyze Business and Technical requirements, identifying test scenarios based on business process 4.Create and Execute functional test cases 5.Work with data management to acquire test data. Where required, Identify the test data by executing the SQL queries or create the test data through the application. 6.Create automation scripts using Selenium. 7.Review Release Notes with each build for accuracy and completeness 8.Analyze test case failures; clearly and concisely report defects using QMC designated testing tool set, which includes OpenText Application Quality Management (formerly Microfocus/Client ALM/QC) JIRA, Selenium and SoapUI/PostMan. 9.Create test execution summary report and communicate results to manager and project team 10.Coordinate all test artifacts in common test location in QMC designated testing tool set for version control 11.Re-test defects as assigned, following defect management process 12.Validate each screen with web accessibility compliance tool for American Disabilities Act compliance 13.Create and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium framework 14.Conduct automation testing and guide automation team members in the automation of test cases using Selenium tool set. 15.Create, maintain, and troubleshoot automation testing script, which could be using knowledge of JAVA, SQL, Selenium language
