Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Test Engineering Manager to lead electrical testing activities for substation control house projects in Dallas, TX. The role will oversee a team of test technicians, manage testing schedules, review test plans and reports, troubleshoot critical electrical issues, and ensure all testing activities meet project, quality, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of test technicians and oversee daily testing activities.
• Maintain testing schedules in alignment with project and production timelines.
• Review project specifications, schematics, test plans, and testing procedures.
• Monitor testing progress and troubleshoot critical technical issues.
• Review test reports and testing documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Develop and maintain test procedures, testing forms, and equipment lists.
• Lead root-cause analysis and problem-solving initiatives to improve testing efficiency and quality.
• Ensure compliance with electrical testing standards, safety procedures, and work instructions.
• Perform and oversee AC/DC functional testing of protection relays, MV switchgear, MV breakers, and arc-flash systems.
• Test HMI components, communication systems, panel boards, automatic transfer switches, fire alarm systems, HVAC, and other power distribution components.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe testing environment.
• Support continuous quality and process improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Technical degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 8+ years of relevant electrical testing experience.
• Hands-on experience with AC/DC functional testing.
• Experience with protection relays, MV switchgear, MV breakers, and arc-flash systems.
• Previous experience leading or managing a team of technicians.
• Strong knowledge of electrical safety procedures, NEC, and IEEE standards.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• NETA Certification is a plus.
