Lockheed Martin is seeking a full-time Staff Functional Test Engineer (as a Lead Position) within the Aeronautics Business Area. Functional Test Engineers provide support for all stages of a platform's program lifecycle. The Functional Test Engineering discipline is responsible for verification of the integrity of the aircraft build from subassembly to flight line. Functional Test Engineers provide the test equipment, the test procedures, and the on-floor test support needed to ensure functional compliance of every aircraft throughout the build-cycle. In this specific role, you will be embedded in developing and maintaining DITMCO programs and procedures, the design and management of test equipment, the development and automation of software, and harness troubleshooting efforts. The day-to-day tasking will include working with design engineers and shop floor personnel to support production of our various platforms. • Designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipment. Plans and arranges the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices. Provides test area with parameters for sample testing and specifies tests to be performed. Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements. Responsible for testing all customer samples and for special tests that cannot be performed in the test area.
• Create DITMCO (Automatic circuit analysis) test programs and design adapter test cables for wire harnesses, wired control panels & module testing.
• Maintain and support current DITMCO implementations for all wire harnesses and wired assemblies.
• Provide technical recommendations and requirements for DITMCO test equipment systems.
• Candidate must be willing to work odd shifts as well as rotate weekends to provide support to C-130J Production teams.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience in a Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturiung and/or Industrial industry
• Experience working with wiring diagrams / schematics
• Experience working with wire harnesses, wired control panels, module testing, etc.
• Previous experience with Automatic Circuit Analysis test programs
• Experience in using programming languages (Python, C++, SQL, etc.)

Desired Skills

• Previous DITMCO experience
• Previous experience supporting/troubleshooting wire harnesses
• Previous experience authoring test programs, documents, test equipment design and applications
• Previous aircraft experience
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing) or equivalent experience
• Experience with Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Word, Excel, and Power Point)
• Knowledge or Experience with C-130J systems, manufacturing and assembly processes

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $104900.00 - $194700.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
