Role: Test Automation Engineer
Location: Pleasanton, CA (Remote)
Duration: 3+ months
Job Duties:
Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Karate Framework, Selenium, and Playwright to improve test efficiency, scalability, and coverage.
Analyze backend applications, REST/SOAP APIs, and system integrations to understand business workflows, API requests/responses, and data flow patterns.
Perform comprehensive manual testing of web applications, APIs, and backend services, including functional, integration, regression, smoke, and end-to-end testing.
Create, execute, and maintain automated test suites for API, UI, regression, smoke, and end-to-end testing scenarios.
Develop reusable test scripts, test utilities, and automation solutions using Java to support continuous testing and quality assurance initiatives.
Execute database validations and backend testing using SQL and PostgreSQL, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across systems.
Participate in defect tracking, root cause analysis, test planning, test execution, and Agile/Scrum ceremonies while driving continuous quality improvements throughout the SDLC.
