    Primary Duties and

    Responsibilities:

    The Program Assistant serves the College of Music and Performing Arts (CMPA) on a temporary part-time basis in the areas of Adjunct Coordination and Endowed Scholarship management. This position works directly with college Associate Deans and unit heads where appropriate. The direct supervisor will be the Associate Dean for Academic Excellence. The position will be limited to 20 hours per week for approximately 38 weeks around the fall and spring academic semesters (August to mid-December & January to May). This is primarily an on-site position with flexible work times and an option for some remote work.

    • 70% - Adjunct Coordinator for CMPA - Manage hiring and onboarding of adjunct faculty, collection appropriate documentation and teaching contract for hire; serving as communication person for adjunct instructors; processing FLAC at the beginning of each term with unit leaders, CMPA staff and the provost's office. Ensure off boarding occurs as individuals stop teaching for CMPA.
    • 30% - Endowed Scholarship Coordinator - Manage endowed scholarship awards/re-awards with Associate Dean for Innovation and Student Flourishing, unit heads, admissions staff, and Student Financial Service (SFS). Create and maintain a scholarship submission process and a process to manage awards, student eligibility, and re-awards for existing students in CMPA.

    • Experience with Microsoft products, particularly MS Teams and MS Excel (mail merge, v-lookup, pivot tables).
    • Experience with databases required. Experience with Banner and Argos preferred.
    • Proven ability to solve problems with attention to detail.
    • Proven ability to deliver an excellent customer service experience, including exceptional written and verbal communication skills and exceptional interpersonal skills.
    • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and the ability to respond to high-pressure situations. Ability to thrive in an environment of hard work.
    • An ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.

    Required EducationA bachelor''s degree from an accredited institution is required.
