Temporary Legal Biller for AmLaw Firm Starting ASAP

We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to support a busy accounting team on a short-term contract. This role is ideal for a billing professional who thrives on accuracy, understands the nuances of client billing requirements, and can navigate electronic billing systems with confidence.

Key Responsibilities

Client Billing & Invoice Management

• Review, audit, and finalize client invoices, including time entries and expenses
• Ensure compliance with rate agreements, billing guidelines, and client-specific requirements
• Perform narrative edits, transfers, and adjustments as needed

Electronic Billing

• Prepare and submit electronic invoices through e-billing platforms
• Review invoice files within eBilling Hub for accuracy and compliance
• Troubleshoot and resolve e-billing issues promptly

Issue Resolution & Coordination

• Respond to billing inquiries from internal stakeholders and clients
• Collaborate with Accounting and other departments to resolve discrepancies
• Communicate clearly and proactively to ensure timely resolution of issues

Qualifications

• Experience in legal billing or professional services billing preferred
• Strong knowledge of billing compliance and client guidelines
• Hands-on experience with electronic billing systems such as Elite or Aderant
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, and billing software/tools such as Elite or Aderant
