    Davis Wright Tremaine LLP is looking for a Conflicts Analyst to join our team in our Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York or Washington D.C. offices. 

    This is a temporary position lasting six months. This position offers the flexibility to be fully remote while working within reasonable commuting distance from any of our offices. 

    This position is responsible for performing a variety of tasks including searching and validation of records, flagging potential issues, conducting corporate research, and validation of conflicts reports for accuracy with regard to new client business, incoming lateral attorneys, and other professional staff.

    On a typical day you will:

    • Perform comprehensive research, analysis, and documentation of potential conflicts of interest associated with new business intake in a timely manner
    • Perform conflict of interest searches on incoming lateral attorneys in a timely manner. Provide detailed analysis of potential conflicts of interest to Conflicts Attorneys as appropriate
    • Communicate with firm attorneys to determine whether clients remain current clients of the firm and, if applicable, update the records to reflect former client status. Review client/matter name changes for potential conflicts of interest
    • Enter conflict information on parties in the conflict records as requested by conflicts manager and conflicts attorneys
    • Enter and update records in the firm’s conflict database regarding conflict notices, newly hired attorneys, fiduciary relationships of firm employees, or other information as necessary
    • Run project-driven searches (e.g., merger with other firm lawyers, RFP requests, onboarding portable new clients, and high-volume party searches)
    • Respond to administrative intake questions received from attorneys and professional staff on behalf of the Conflicts Department in a timely manner
    • Work with the Business Intake and Accounting team as well as other departments to streamline, audit, or finalize the opening of new matters or reopening of existing matters
    • Audit conflicts check submittals
    • Produce, review, and circulate daily reports regarding submitted conflicts checks and new matters opened
    • Assist with other special projects, tasks, and/or Intapp CBI support as assigned
    • Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality. Adhere to schedule by being timely on breaks, lunches, and meetings

    Join us if you have:

    • 3+ years prior experience as a conflicts analyst, preferably at a large law firm
    • High School graduate or GED equivalent required, bachelor’s degree is preferred
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, including accurate grammar and spelling
    • Attention to detail, analysis and organizational skills
    • Strong database search skills, including development of search logic and strategies
    • Ability to accurately type 35-40 wpm
    • Strong interpersonal skills, team player able to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong customer service skills, including understanding and responding quickly to a variety of inquiries
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines
    • Experience with Microsoft Office is required; experience with Intapp products is preferred
    • Willingness to adapt to and learn new technology, software programs, and upgrades
    • Excellent grammar, proofreading and organizational skills
    • Ability to communicate clearly and handle stressful situations in a professional manner and multi-task as well as follow-up timely
    • Willingness to work in a team-oriented environment
    • Ability to understand and follow work instructions with minimal supervision
    • Maintain excellent attendance and timely arrival
    • Demonstrate flexibility
    • Availability for overtime when required

    Washington State   

    The hourly range for this position in Washington is $43.08 to $49.74. Actual pay will be adjusted based on the candidate’s education, training, experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. Paid sick leave is accrued on a biweekly basis at a rate of 1 hour per 30 hours worked. Temporary employees working at least 30 hours per week may be eligible for health insurance with an optional HSA, dental insurance, vision care, telemedicine and virtual short term solution based counseling services, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, sick time, and an employee assistance program. 

       

    California  

    The hourly range for this position in Los Angeles is $43.08 to $49.74; and in San Francisco is $46.67 to $53.85.Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.  Paid sick leave is accrued on a biweekly basis at a rate of 1 hour per 30 hours worked. Temporary employees working at least 30 hours per week may be eligible for health insurance with an optional HSA, dental insurance, vision care, telemedicine and virtual short term solution based counseling services, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, sick time, and an employee assistance program.  

       

    New York  

    The hourly range for this position in New York City is $47.80 to $54.40. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.  Paid sick leave is accrued on a biweekly basis at a rate of 1 hour per 30 hours worked.     Washington D.C.

    The hourly range for this position in Washington D.C. is $41.03 to $47.69.
