Overview

The School of Nursing is seeking a temporary team member to provide administrative support for daily departmental activities. This position plays an important role in maintaining efficient office operations and supporting faculty, staff, and student needs.

This is a temporary assignment from October 5, 2026, through November 24, 2026.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Department of Nursing, including coordinating daily office operations and supporting the

Department Chair and faculty.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the department by addressing inquiries and directing communications to the appropriate faculty, staff, or campus

partners.

  • Manage the departments general email and postal mailboxes by reviewing, triaging, and routing incoming communications to the appropriate individuals.
  • Maintain all files and documents for accreditation including faculty meeting minutes.
  • Support faculty with classroom needs.
  • Coordinate the procurement of office supplies and maintain office equipment to support efficient departmental operations.
  • Process purchase orders and invoices in accordance with departmental budget procedures, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.

Education and Experience

  • Associate's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Three to five years of experience as administrative support in professional environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong prioritization and follow-through skills.
  • Takes initiative and manages multiple responsibilities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly organized, flexible, with a strong attention to detail and the ability to balance competing deadlines and priorities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Sound professional judgment and the ability to work collaboratively as a part of a team.

Supplemental Information

Schedule:

  • 35 hours per week
  • Monday through Friday
  • 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • One-hour unpaid lunch break
