    Detailed Job Description:

    Role Overview
    Seeking a hands-on OMS Technical Lead for an onsite role to support enterprise retail order management initiatives. The role will require strong technical ownership across Blue Yonder OMS or IBM Sterling OMS, with a focus on design, development, integrations, triage, analysis, production support, and coordination with onsite/offshore teams. The ideal candidate should be able to work directly with client stakeholders, analyze complex OMS issues, guide technical delivery, and ensure timely resolution of business-critical incidents and enhancements

    Key Responsibilities
    Lead technical delivery for enterprise retail OMS solutions across development, enhancements, upgrades, and support activities.
    Work hands-on on OMS triage, issue analysis, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and resolution of production and integration issues.
    Analyze order, inventory, fulfillment, payment, returns, and downstream integration issues across OMS and connected systems.
    Own design and development activities for OMS configurations, extensions, Java-based backend components, REST services, and integrations.
    Design and support integrations with eCommerce, ERP, payment gateways, fraud systems, WMS/3PL, carrier systems, and other enterprise platforms.
    Support deployments, releases, environment changes, CI/CD pipeline activities, and cloud-based OMS deployments on AWS or GCP.
    Perform health checks, review alerts and logs, identify recurring issues, and drive preventive actions to improve platform stability.
    Collaborate with business, product, QA, DevOps, cloud, infrastructure, and offshore teams to validate fixes and ensure smooth delivery.
    Act as the onsite technical interface for client stakeholders and ensure clear communication between onsite and offshore teams.
    Mentor team members, conduct technical reviews, maintain documentation/runbooks, and drive continuous improvement through automation and process improvements.
    Participate in triage calls, daily standups, incident reviews, and status meetings, providing clear updates on work progress and risks.

    Required Qualifications
    Bachelor s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution. Equivalent progressive experience may be considered in lieu of education as per hiring guidelines.
    10+ years of relevant Information Technology experience preferred.
    Strong hands-on experience in Retail Order Management Systems, with a deep understanding of omnichannel order orchestration, inventory availability, fulfillment, and return processes.
    A very good experience in Blue Yonder OMS is preferred. If Blue Yonder OMS experience is not available, strong IBM Sterling OMS experience will also be considered.
    Strong hands-on Java development experience with RESTful API integrations and OMS extensibility.
    Experience in troubleshooting production issues, performing root-cause analysis, and managing L2/L3 support scenarios.
    Experience working in Unix/Linux environments and supporting cloud deployments on AWS or GCP.
    Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and environment management.
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work directly with client stakeholders and global teams.

    Programming: Java, Spring Boot, object-oriented design; C++ exposure is a plus
    Integration: REST APIs, JMS, XML, XSLT, JSON, enterprise integration patterns
    Cloud and DevOps: AWS or GCP, CI/CD pipelines, deployment and environment management
    Database: Oracle Database, SQL; Neo4j exposure is a plus
    Retail Domain: Order capture, availability, fulfillment, returns, payments, inventory, carrier and WMS/3PL integrations
    Support: Triage, production support, RCA, performance tuning, monitoring, alert analysis, SLA-driven resolution

    Typical Day in the Role
    Perform OMS health checks and review alerts, logs, incidents, and service requests.
    Triage order failures, integration errors, inventory mismatches, payment or fulfillment issues, and downstream connectivity problems.
    Work with business and technical teams to analyze issues, validate fixes, and support deployments or releases.
    Provide updates in triage calls, standups, and status meetings, and coordinate action items between onsite and offshore teams.
    Document fixes, configuration changes, operational procedures, and lessons learned in runbooks.

    Leadership Expectations
    Lead offshore team members and ensure timely progress on assigned development and support work.
    Maintain strong onsite-offshore communication and provide clear technical direction to the team.
    Track SLA adherence, risks, blockers, and delivery status, and proactively escalate when needed.
    Guide the team members on technical analysis, code/configuration changes, testing support, and production readiness.

    Success Measures
    Timely and effective triage and resolution of OMS issues.
    Quality of technical analysis, design, and hands-on delivery.
    Strong client communication and clear onsite-offshore coordination.
    SLA adherence and measurable improvement in OMS stability and support processes.
