Job Description
The Solid Waste Services Department provides residential curbside collection of garbage, recycle, yard waste and a variety of specialized services. The department is organized into two divisions: Administration and Operations. The Technology Analyst works within the Administrative Division of Solid Waste to support the technology projects, initiatives and responsibilities of both divisions. This position will serve as a project lead for department-wide initiatives within their area of responsibility.
The ideal candidate for this role will be a highly collaborative technical professional with a proven ability to manage projects, strategically solve problems, and manage organizational change
About You
You are a collaborative, solutions-focused technology professional who enjoys solving problems and improving processes. You can manage projects, support business systems, troubleshoot issues, and communicate effectively with staff, vendors, and IT partners. Experience with project management, AVL/telematics software, or Cityworks is a plus.

Typical Qualifications
Education and Experience
Associates Degree or 2 Years of College in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; 1 to 3 years experience in asset management, system administration or a related field
OR
Any equivalent combination of training and/or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be substituted
Licenses or Certifications:
Valid North Carolina Class C Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record, or the ability to obtain within 60 days of hire
CompTIA A+ and Microsoft Certification

Work Environment and Physical Effort:

Work is typically performed in an office or similar indoor environment. Employees may occasionally work in a warehouse environment or in and around vehicles.
