Title: Technical Training Manager - Industrial Robotics & Automation
Location: Columbus, OH
Hire Type: Full-time

Must have Skill Set:

  • MUST HAVE hands-on technical experience in manufacturing, robotics, automation, or industrial equipment.
  • MUST HAVE proven technical training experience developing and delivering training to technicians, operators, or customers.
  • MUST HAVE experience operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, servicing, or commissioning industrial equipment.
  • MUST HAVE both a hands-on technical background AND a technical training background.
  • MUST HAVE ability to translate complex technical information into practical, hands-on instruction.
  • MUST BE willing to travel 30–40%.

Overview:

We are seeking a hands-on Technical Training Manager with proven experience in industrial manufacturing, robotics, automation, or complex machinery and a strong background in technical training. This is not a traditional corporate training role. The ideal candidate must have hands-on technical experience and must have proven experience developing and delivering technical training.

You will develop and deliver hands-on training for technicians and operators covering operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, safety, and servicing of advanced robotic and automated systems. You will also partner with Engineering and Product teams to turn complex technical information into practical training.


Job Duties: 

  • Develop and deliver hands-on technical training for technicians, operators, and customers.
  • Build onboarding, certification, and refresher training programs.
  • Train on equipment operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and safety.
  • Partner with Engineering and Product to convert technical information into training.
  • Use field feedback to improve training programs.
  • Travel approximately 30–40% to customer and field locations.

Qualifications: 

  • 4+ years of proven technical experience in manufacturing, robotics, automation, or industrial equipment.
  • MUST HAVE direct hands-on experience with robotics, automated machinery, or complex manufacturing systems.
  • MUST HAVE proven experience developing and delivering technical training.
  • MUST HAVE experience troubleshooting, maintaining, servicing, or commissioning industrial equipment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with technicians, operators, engineers, and customers.
  • Experience with PLCs, industrial controls, machine vision, CNC, welding, or automated manufacturing technologies is a plus.
