We are seeking a motivated and technically minded Technical Sales Representative to support customers and sales activities across North America.
This customer-facing position combines technical application support, product selection, quotations, order support, customer communication, and proactive sales follow-up. The successful candidate will work directly with customers, distributors, OEMs, EPCs, and engineering firms while supporting the broader Business Development team.
Respond to customer inquiries and provide timely technical and commercial support related to applications, product selection, availability, pricing, and lead times.
Review customer applications, specifications, drawings, and operating requirements.
Perform technical calculations and assist with the selection and sizing of safety and relief valve solutions.
Prepare accurate quotations, proposals, and technical documentation.
Proactively follow up on quotations, leads, and open opportunities to support sales growth.
Communicate directly with customers to understand technical requirements, applications, and future needs.
Identify additional sales opportunities within existing customer relationships and inquiries.
Support Business Development and outside sales activities across assigned territories.
Conduct technical product presentations, consultations, demonstrations, and customer training.
Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, and international technical teams regarding product selection and customized applications.
Process and verify order information and maintain accurate customer, quotation, opportunity, and order records.
Assist customers with technical, documentation, delivery, order, and service-related issues.
Develop strong relationships with customers, distributors, OEMs, EPCs, engineering firms, and industry partners.
Maintain accurate CRM records and contribute to sales forecasts, pipeline visibility, and market feedback.
Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, customer visits, and industry events.
Collaborate with sales, engineering, operations, logistics, and leadership to deliver exceptional customer support.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical Studies, Industrial Technology, or a related field preferred.
0–3 years of experience in technical sales, inside sales, application engineering, customer support, or a related technical role.
Experience with industrial products, valves, pressure-relief equipment, flow-control products, or engineered products strongly preferred.
Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, drawings, and customer application requirements.
Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to learn technical products and clearly explain technical concepts to customers.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong customer-service and relationship-building skills.
Confident communicating with customers by phone, email, video conference, and in person.
Strong presentation and product-training skills.
Sales-oriented, proactive, and comfortable following up on leads and quotations.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Experience with CRM, ERP, and Microsoft Office applications preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Sales Professional, QuickBooks, or similar systems is a plus.
German or Spanish language proficiency is advantageous but not required.
Willingness and ability to travel up to approximately 30%.
