Description

Our client, a Commercial Banking company, is looking for a Technical Project Manager for their Atlanta, GA/Charlotte, NC location.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Wealth-Securities Backed Lending - The project will deliver a Truist instance of Supernova's SBL (Securities-Backed Lending) system; connect to lending platform, brokerage, and trust systems; automate business rules including underwriting and decisioning; define and apply configurations; conduct change management; and rollout the offering.
  • The project will also replace the existing collateral monitoring system (FastNet/Broadridge).
  • Supporting the Wealth-Securities Backed Lending project
  • We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead the delivery of Wealth-management lending platform.
  • On a day-to-day basis you support the Technical Delivery team (Solution Architect, Developers, Systems Analyst, Business Analyst and Product Owner.
  • Likewise, you will ensure that we are aligned with our business stakeholders (Wealth Lending, Risk, Compliance, Finance, Legal and Audit).
  • The ideal candidate must have extensive Test Lead or Test Manager experience.
  • End-to-End Delivery:
  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of lending platform features, including API integrations, automated underwriting workflows, and third-party vendor tools.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Coordinate daily with software engineers, product managers, cybersecurity, infrastructure and delivery compliance teams to track progress against the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Technical Translation: Translate complex business rules and regulatory requirements into actionable technical specifications for dev teams and explain technical trade-offs to stakeholders.
  • Risk & Dependency Management: Identify technical bottlenecks, manage program dependencies and build mitigation plans for project risks.
  • Agile Execution: Facilitate Agile ceremonies (Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe), coordinate with Product Manager/Product Owner to maintain backlogs, and track delivery metrics using project management tools like Rally, Jira or Azure DevOps.
 
Requirements:
  • Experience: 10+ years of technical project management experience delivering software solutions within the FinTech, banking, or financial services (BFSI) sectors, specifically involving loan origination systems (LOS) or lending platforms.
  • Technical Fluency: Solid understanding of modern software architecture, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), microservices, CI/CD pipelines, and API integrations.
  • Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with financial regulations, lending operations, data security standards, and risk management practices.
  • Agile Mastery: Hands-on experience with Agile frameworks (Scrum/Kanban) and tracking tools.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a proven track record of influencing cross-functional teams without direct authority.                      
  • Plus/Nice to Have Sklls/Prior Experiences:
  • 15+ years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, CSM (Certified ScrumMaster), or PMI-ACP.
  • Prior experience migrating legacy lending systems to cloud-native architectures.
