Amazon Leo is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite network. Our mission is to deliver fast, reliable broadband connectivity to customers beyond the reach of existing networks. From households to small businesses, schools, hospitals, and government agencies, Amazon Leo will serve communities and organizations operating in places without dependable internet access.
The Ground Systems Engineering team is responsible for the ground segment infrastructure that connects Amazon Leo satellites to the terrestrial internet. As Amazon Leo scales into international markets, each piece of ground segment equipment must be certified and type-approved for operation in the destination country - a process known as homologation.
We are looking for a Technical Program Manager to own and drive the homologation program for GGT equipment across all target markets. You will be the central coordination point between engineering, regulatory, legal, trade compliance and third-party test laboratories, to ensure that all required certifications (EMC, safety, RF, environmental) are obtained on schedule. In addition to homologation, you will work with Software and Hardware Development teams, multiple suppliers, and other Kuiper Engineering teams to ensure internal and external requirements are met for the development and production of Gateway and TT&C terminals.
Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
