Job Description & Skill Requirement: Job Summary: The MES (Manufacturing Execution System) Technical Architect is a senior-level technical leadership role responsible for designing, structuring, and overseeing the technical implementation of MES solutions across production environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Architecture & Reference Design: Define end-to-end MES application architectures, technology stacks, deployment models, and coding standards across production environments.
IT/OT Integration: Architect and implement integrations between MES platforms and enterprise IT infrastructure such as ERP/SAP, PLM, WMS, and Operational Technology including PLCs, SCADA, HMI, and Data Historians.
Core Capability Modeling: Oversee technical blueprinting for production tracking, genealogy, material validation, Electronic Batch Records (EBR), and real-time quality controls.
Key Skills:
Deep expertise in enterprise systems such as Critical Manufacturing, Custom MES, and Ignition.
Proficient with OPC UA, MQTT, Sparkplug B, REST APIs, GraphQL, and enterprise message brokers such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, and HiveMQ.
Demonstrated experience with Unified Namespace (UNS) concepts, event-driven architectures, pub/sub models, and microservices.
Strong scripting and backend development skills using C#, .NET, Java, or Python.
Advanced relational database design using SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
Familiarity with hybrid cloud architectures using AWS or Azure, including containers, serverless technologies, and edge network security.
