    Technical Lead – Cybersecurity

    Lake Forest, CA (Onsite)

     

    Job Description

    ·         Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.

    ·         5+ years in software engineering, DevOps, or information security roles.

    ·         2+ years in a leadership, technical lead, or project coordination role.

    ·         Solid understanding of cybersecurity concepts, standards, and practices

    ·         Familiarity with cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP).

    ·         Experience with secure development practices, vulnerability management, and risk assessment.

    ·         Ability to review technical designs and propose improvements from a security perspective.

    ·         Management & Soft Skills:

    ·         Proven track record of coordinating cross-functional teams.

    ·         Strong project management skills (Agile/Scrum/Kanban methodologies).

    ·         Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

    ·         Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make balanced decisions under pressure.

    ·         Strong documentation and reporting skills.

     

    Preferred to Have:

    ·         Professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA, AWS Security Specialty).

    ·         Any previous experience in automotive cybersecurity or regulated industries.

    ·         Knowledge of any compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, automotive-specific security standards).

    ·         Hands-on experience with security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, SAST/DAST, penetration testing).

    ·         Act as the primary coordinator for all activities related to the cybersecurity direction.

    ·         Collaborate with multiple engineering, QA, and infrastructure teams to ensure timely delivery of cybersecurity-related tasks.

    ·         Translate project requirements into clear technical tasks and ensure proper prioritization.

    ·         Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineers, ensuring cybersecurity best practices are followed.

    ·         Monitor project progress, identify risks, and proactively resolve issues.

    ·         Communicate status, challenges, and achievements to stakeholders and management.

    ·         Support planning, estimation, and resource allocation for cybersecurity projects.

    ·         Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and security frameworks.

    ·         Serve as a bridge between technical teams and project/product management.
