    Description

    Technical Accounting Manager Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead technical accounting efforts supporting business operations across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
    • Research and analyze complex accounting matters under U.S. GAAP, IFRS, GASB, and other relevant accounting frameworks.
    • Monitor and implement new accounting standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
    • Prepare technical accounting memos documenting accounting conclusions and recommendations.
    • Serve as the primary liaison with external technical accounting advisors and consultants.
    • Oversee fixed asset accounting and related financial reporting processes.
    • Partner with finance, operational leaders, and external auditors to address accounting matters and reporting requirements.
    • Prepare and review technical accounting disclosures within financial statements.
    • Evaluate the accounting implications of new business initiatives, contracts, and strategic transactions.
    • Provide guidance on complex transactions, including M&A activity, joint ventures, restructuring events, and divestitures.
    • Drive enhancements to accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting procedures.
    • Mentor and develop accounting team members.
    • Support cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives across the organization.
    • Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct.

    Technical Accounting Manager Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master's degree preferred.
    • CPA or equivalent professional certification required.
    • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
    • Public accounting experience, ideally with a Big Four or large national accounting firm, strongly preferred.
    • Strong understanding of technical accounting and financial reporting requirements.
    • Excellent analytical, communication, and time management skills.
    • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

    Preferred Experience:

    • Strong knowledge of ASC 805 (Business Combinations) and ASC 810 (Consolidations).
    • Experience supporting large, multi-entity or multinational organizations.
    • Exposure to complex transactions, acquisitions, and corporate finance initiatives.
