Responsible for organizing, managing, and maintaining a repository of technical documents, ensuring all technical documentation adheres to established style guidelines and is written in clear and concise language for both technical and non-technical users. Creating, editing, and maintaining technical documentation such as user manuals, technical specifications, service methods, repair times, interactive schematics, and help guides for products developed by client.

Our client, a Truck and Engine Manufacturing company, is looking for a Tech Author for their Woodridge, IL location.
 
Responsibilities:

• Creating, editing, and maintaining technical documentation such as user manuals, technical specifications, service methods, repair times, interactive schematics, and help guides for products developed by client.
• Works closely with service engineering, engineering, manufacturing, compliance, product managers, and subject matter experts to gather information and ensure accuracy of technical documentation.
• Responsible for organizing, managing, and maintaining a repository of technical documents, ensuring all technical documentation adheres to established style guidelines and is written in clear and concise language for both technical and non-technical users.
• Additionally, may be required to create technical illustrations to support written content and perform editorial duties, such as copy editing, proofreading, and fact-checking, to ensure the accuracy and clarity of all documentation.

 
Requirements:

• Must have experience using Arbortecxt software
