Overview

A national tax, assurance and advisory CPA firm is seeking a Tax Senior Manager for its Denver, Colorado office. This role is a valued business advisor delivering industry-focused tax advisory and compliance services to middle market clients, working side-by-side with firm leadership to serve clients and build the business while mentoring and coaching a team of talented staff. Hybrid flexibility is available.

Responsibilities

• Lead client relationships on day-to-day tax matters for clients ranging from middle market to multinational
• Consult on technical matters and special projects in corporate and flow-through taxation, accounting methods and ASC 740
• Research tax matters, respond to IRS and other tax authority inquiries and make recommendations to clients
• Coordinate with specialty tax practices on state and local, high net worth, international, R&D and credits and incentives matters
• Manage engagement staffing, billing and collections and meet client profitability targets
• Network and build strong relationships internally and externally to acquire new clients, projects and revenue
• Support the growth and development of team members

Qualifications

• 4-year degree; bachelor's in accounting or law preferred, master's or advanced degree desirable
• CPA, law license or Enrolled Agent
• 8+ years of experience providing federal tax compliance and consulting services in a professional services firm
• 5+ years of supervisory experience mentoring and counseling associates
• Strong management, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, project management and communication skills
• Highly developed software and Microsoft Office skills
