Location: Minneapolis, MN (Chicago, IL and Detroit, MI also considered)

Overview

A national middle-market audit, tax and consulting firm is seeking a Tax Senior Manager for its corporate tax practice in Minneapolis, Minnesota. You will help public and private multinational corporate clients meet income tax accounting, consulting and compliance obligations and lead complex engagements (hybrid).

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex corporate tax engagements with a focus on high-value tax advice and expanding services
• Interact directly with clients on questions, planning and consulting
• Manage corporate client federal and state tax compliance needs
• Review research findings and ensure conclusions meet firm policies and professional standards
• Drive growth by generating new revenue with existing and new clients
• Serve as career advisor, mentor and coach and train staff
• Build relationships across lines of business for integrated client service
• Some travel may be required

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• Active CPA, EA or attorney license (or approved alternative certification)
• 8+ years of public accounting experience with C corporation clients (or equivalent in law firms or industry)
• Experience preparing or reviewing ASC 740 income tax accounting
• Proven record managing multiple projects and engagement teams
• Ability to generate new business and manage a book of business
• International tax experience a plus; fluency in French, German, Japanese or Mandarin preferred
