The opportunity

This team comprises our most highly specialized resources in the area of ASC 740, provision process and internal controls over the tax provision. As a member, you will work closely with our leaders to serve companies that need assistance with tax accounting for transactions or their on-going tax provision process. As you progress, youll become a trusted business advisor to your clients while helping organizations grow. You will also benefit from being mentored by recognized tax professionals who include some of the firms most senior tax talent.

As a Tax Accounting and Risk Manager, you will help organizations meet tax regulatory requirements, enhance their tax control environment, and manage tax risks by providing expert advisory services. Youll also assist companies with all aspects of their preparation of the tax provision. In addition, youll also have the opportunity to review the tax provision process to improve efficiency and accuracy and assess tax risk. You will play a pivotal role in identifying, recommending, and implementing improvements to tax reporting, compliance, and accounting processes, and driving better business performance.

Your key responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for the effective management and delivery of one or more processes, solutions, or projects, with a strong focus on quality and risk management. You will continuously seek process improvements and innovative solutions, leveraging research, analysis, and best practices.

The position may involve managing professional employees or supervising others to deliver complex technical initiatives, with accountability for performance and results. You will apply your depth of expertise to guide others, interpret internal and external issues, and recommend quality solutions.

• Ability to manage and deliver high-quality tax accounting and risk solutions, foster strong client relationships, and lead teams through complex challenges
• Tax Provision Review to assist companies with all aspects of their preparation of the tax provision.
• Responsible for the effective management and delivery of processes, solutions, and projects, ensuring a focus on quality and risk management.
• Continuously identify and implement process improvements and innovative solutions through research, analysis, and best practices.
• Guide and supervise others to deliver complex technical initiatives, applying depth of expertise to interpret issues and recommend solutions.
• Meet performance objectives and metrics, including client service, quality and risk management, sales and business growth, solution development, and teaming.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Bachelor's degree required (4-year degree) in Accounting or related field; MST, MAcc, or JD/LLM preferred
• Typically, no less than 4 - 6 years of relevant tax or legal experience
• CPA certification or licensed attorney status

Ideally, you'll also have

• Strong ASC 740 and/or IAS 12 experience as well as experience in corporate tax planning and compliance.
• Experience leading workstream delivery and tracking project status.
• Ability to manage engagement economics and implement resource plans and budgets.
• Experience participating in client working sessions and leading RFP responses.

• We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $116,200 to $212,900. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $139,400 to $242,000. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
