    Tax Manager

    CPA Office- Serves clients in the professional services / wealth management 
    In-Office | CPA Required | $135,000 - $150,000

Our client is seeking an experienced Tax Manager who thrives in a client-facing environment and enjoys serving as a trusted advisor to high-net-worth individuals, business owners, and professional service clients.

    This is a unique opportunity to step into a highly visible leadership role as the firm's second-in-command, working closely with ownership to oversee tax engagements, mentor staff, strengthen client relationships, and contribute to the firm's continued growth and success.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage and review complex federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S-Corporations, trusts, and closely held businesses.
    • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing proactive tax planning and advisory services.
    • Develop and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service and responsiveness.
    • Review tax work prepared by staff and senior accountants, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
    • Mentor, train, and develop tax professionals while fostering a collaborative team environment.
    • Research and resolve complex tax issues and communicate findings to clients and firm leadership.
    • Assist with practice management, workflow oversight, and strategic initiatives.
    • Collaborate closely with firm leadership on client retention, business development, and operational improvements.
    • Stay current on tax laws, regulations, and industry trends impacting clients.

    Qualifications

    • Active CPA license required.
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
    • Minimum of 5 recent years of experience in a Tax Manager role.
    • Experience within a Professional Services, Family Office, Wealth Management, or related advisory environment strongly preferred.
    • Proven experience managing client relationships and serving in a consultative capacity.
    • Strong technical tax knowledge across individual and business taxation.
    • Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to mentor and develop staff.

    Compensation & Benefits

    • Base salary: $135,000 - $150,000
