Location: Mountain View, CA

Overview

A national CPA and advisory firm is seeking a Tax Manager in Mountain View (hybrid). You will advise clients on the tax implications of their business objectives, identify ways to reduce tax burden and compliance cost, and act as the primary client contact for complex tax issues.

Responsibilities

• Review engagement workpapers and tax returns
• Supervise and train staff preparing returns
• Respond to tax authority notices and represent clients
• Oversee multiple engagements simultaneously
• Manage client accounts, including billing, fee analysis and new services
• Research complex tax matters and communicate findings and recommendations
• Identify business development opportunities and grow existing client services
• Develop the engagement team and prepare seniors for the next level

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; Master of Tax preferred
• 5+ years of tax experience in public accounting
• Licensed CPA required
• Extensive pass-through entity experience strongly preferred; S corp, partnership, HNW individual, C corp and trust taxation desired
• Experience supervising and training staff and seniors preferred
• Excellent communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
