Tax Associate Attorney (Mid-Level or Senior)

Location: Dallas-Fort Worth (Hybrid) or Fully Remote

Compensation: $150K-$188K base + generous quarterly bonuses

About the Opportunity

A fast-growing, highly respected business law firm is expanding its Tax practice and seeking a mid-level or senior Tax Attorney to join its team.

This is a unique opportunity to work on sophisticated, high-value tax planning and/or transactional matters for entrepreneurs, closely held businesses, and high-net-worth clients-all within a collaborative, low-ego environment that prioritizes quality over volume.

What You'll Do

  • Structure and implement advanced transactional tax strategies

  • Advise on and support:

  • M&A and tax-efficient restructurings

  • Partnership and corporate structuring

  • QSBS (Section 1202) planning

  • Reorganizations and recapitalizations

  • Draft and review:

  • Tax memoranda

  • Transactional documents and implementation plans

  • Collaborate with corporate attorneys, CPAs, and advisors on complex, multi-party transactions

  • (Senior level) Lead client relationships, manage matters end-to-end, and mentor junior attorneys

What We're Looking For

  • 4-8 years (mid-level) OR 8+ years (senior) tax experience

  • Strong background in transactional tax planning and drafting

  • Experience with partnerships, corporate structuring, and deal execution

  • LL.M. in Taxation preferred (or equivalent experience)

  • Big 4 or accounting firm experience welcomed (substantive planning required)

  • Ability to work independently with precision, ownership, and strong execution discipline

  • Licensed in Texas or eligible for admission
