TAX ACCOUNTANT (Permanent)
Our client, an established CPA firm in the South Towns of WNY, is seeking a Tax Accountant to join their team.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is seeking growth opportunities and longevity. The firm is open toCPA candidates and is willing to pay for the employee to study and sit for the exam. You do not need to bring or develop a book of business, as the company has enough business for someone joining them.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform dailytax accounting responsibilities for clients
  • Prepare andreview various tax returns for corporate, individual, and partnershipclients
  • Gatherinformation during in-person meetings and via phone calls from clients inorder to file detailed and complete returns
  • Offerclients educated advice on IRA/retirement strategies, tax planningguidance, etc.
  • Createlasting and trusting relationships with clients in order to providetailored approaches
  • Maintainopen lines of communication with clients
  • Conductresearch into any tax issues to ensure timely resolution and accuratereturns are completed
  • Remain up todate with tax regulations as well as local, state, and federal laws toensure compliance is maintained at all times
  • Take aproactive approach to completing special projects in a timely manner andahead of deadlines
  • Collaboratewith internal team members to support the overall growth of the firm
  • Participatein various training initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned/as necessary
Details:
  • Position is full-time, direct hire
  • Hybridschedule: 2 days in-office, 3 WFH; Fridays off in the summer
  • $65,000 - $95,000 annuallydepending on experience
  • Comprehensive benefitspackage, PTO, Paid holidays
  • Bachelor's degree inAccounting or related required
    • MBAor Master's in Taxation preferred
  • CPA or interest in pursuingCPA preferred
  • 2+ years' experience in Tax Accounting
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Strong organizational andtime management skills
  • Strong communication andpresentation skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and able towork well independently while contributing collaboratively within a teamenvironment
  • Relocation notavailable
  • Candidates must be authorizedto work in the United States; Visa sponsorship is not available
