Who We Are
The Staffing function is the holistic owner of key components of the BCG consulting team employee experience. Most notably, the function drives the development and deployment of BCG's most important asset - its people - while supporting overall business objectives (e.g. staff utilization, project team balance). The Talent Specialist - Pipeline will play a key role in supporting the Staffing function in the New York Talent Management team within BCG's Northeast system, while also serving as a team member of the larger consulting talent community in North America.
The Talent Specialist - Pipeline partners with the Pipeline team to support end-to-end staffing for projects in assigned Practice Areas (PAs), aligning case team needs to business priorities and individual goals. They support the weekly staffing cadence (case intake, shortlist distribution, and final staffing decisions), help manage the SAM pipeline with accurate project entry, and build awareness of active and potential casework within assigned PAs to support balanced case team design. This individual provides leverage to more senior Pipeline team members by handling staffing point-of-contact responsibilities for case team leaders (e.g., XOs, CTLs) on assigned cases, and supports short-term staffing (STS), internal staffing, and summer interns staffing as relevant for the system.
The role is ideal for someone passionate about a career in the HR/People space who thrives in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment while maintaining keen attention to detail. A qualified candidate demonstrates good judgment and critical thinking (seeking assistance when appropriate), demonstrates ownership and reliability in following through, shows curiosity and adaptability in learning new tools and processes, and communicates clearly and thoughtfully with stakeholders (including all levels of Consulting staff and Business Services Team members across functions like Finance/HR) to meet the needs of individual consultants, the firm, and our clients.
