Systems/Integration Engineer II

The Systems/Integration Engineer is responsible for integrating complex hardware, software, and subsystems into cohesive, reliable solutions that meet defined technical and mission requirements. This role works across engineering disciplines to analyze system requirements, define and manage interfaces, support system architecture and integration activities, and identify and resolve technical issues throughout the system lifecycle. The Systems/Integration Engineer collaborates closely with software, hardware, cybersecurity, test, and systems engineering teams to ensure components function together as intended and that integrated solutions meet customer and program requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Analyze, decompose, and manage system and subsystem requirements to support the development and integration of complex technical solutions.
• Develop and maintain system architectures, functional models, interface definitions, and technical documentation.
• Integrate hardware, software, network, and other system components into cohesive operational environments.
• Define, document, and manage interfaces and dependencies between systems, subsystems, applications, and external systems.
• Plan and execute system integration activities, including integration sequencing, configuration, troubleshooting, and technical issue resolution.
• Support system-level testing, verification, and validation to demonstrate compliance with technical and customer requirements.
• Analyze system behavior and performance to identify integration risks, defects, dependencies, and potential design issues.
• Troubleshoot complex integration problems and coordinate with engineering teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Participate in technical reviews, design reviews, integration planning sessions, and customer meetings.
• Develop and maintain system integration plans, test procedures, interface documentation, and other engineering artifacts.
• Support configuration management and change control activities to ensure system components and interfaces remain properly synchronized.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, network, cybersecurity, test, and other engineering disciplines throughout the system lifecycle.
• Track technical issues, integration risks, and dependencies and communicate status, impacts, and recommended actions to program leadership.
• Support the development and maintenance of requirements traceability from system requirements through implementation, integration, and verification.
• Apply systems engineering and integration methodologies to support the development, deployment, and sustainment of mission-critical systems.
• Support Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and digital engineering activities, where applicable.
• Use engineering and requirements-management tools to document system architectures, requirements, interfaces, and integration activities.
• Ensure engineering deliverables and integration activities comply with applicable customer, program, and organizational standards.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline; or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience. A minimum of four (4) years’ of prior relevant experience

The estimated pay range for this role is $95,000 to $115,000, with the final offer contingent on location, skillset, and experience.
