Standard Job Description

You will be Technical Lead for a Mission Systems (MS) Test Planning and Execution Team within an I&T Organization responsible for the integration and test of supplier procured software & hardware products with Lockheed Martin developed software capabilities. In this role, you will lead a team of engineers in the planning, coordination, and execution of various Systems Integration & Test (SI&T) efforts within Lockheed Martin's combat systems domain by validating and maturing tactical‑aviation capabilities in a lab‑based, hardware‑in‑the‑loop environment. You will own SI&T activities to include end‑to‑end system test for air‑system lethality, survivability, health‑diagnostics, and related capabilities, driving integration with supplier hardware/software and LM developed software.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Lead an SI&T product team (5+ engineers) to meet programmatic milestones/objectives as well as performance, cost, and schedule targets.
• Test Development & Execution: Develop, author, implement, and run system‑level tests throughout development life cycle.
• Process Stewardship: Champion modern CI/CD pipelines, Agile practices, and continuous integration of test assets; evaluate, adopt, and deploy new testing approaches beyond legacy waterfall.
• Collaboration: Partner with ADIT leadership, cross-functional teams, customers, suppliers, and software developers to define priorities, road‑maps, and delivery plans.
• Issue Resolution: Guide engineers in rapid diagnosis and troubleshooting of hardware/software integration challenges.
• Documentation & Reporting: Develop and author test procedures, adjudicate test deficiencies, and capture test results to produce reports, and feed lessons learned back into development.
• Technical Roadmap Deployment: Support a culture of innovation and learning by deploying new approaches and technologies into the existing SI&T infrastructure.

This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must have an active secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's (or higher) in Engineering/Technical field.
• Proven leadership and development of technical teams (3+ members) delivering on‑time, high‑quality results.
• Strong background in Systems Engineering, Integration & Test, or complex system lifecycles.
• Experience with technical roadmap adoption and deployment.
• Active Secret clearance (investigation  5 yr).

Desired Skills

• Experience with leading formal test milestones/events to include Test Readiness Reviews (TRR), Formal Qualification Testing (FQT), or equivalent.
• Proficiency in various toolsets to include DOORS, Cameo and Jira
• Hands‑on experience or working knowledge of Linux (Red Hat preferred).
• Experience aligning agile or hybrid development across software, hardware, suppliers, integration, verification, and formal readiness events.
• Experience creating and managing performance metrics, key performance indicators, and root cause corrective action plans
• Experience with software pipelines and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) software developments concepts and tools (i.e. GitLab, software pipelines, test automation (Cucumber, etc.)
• Simulation & Test Environments: Pilot‑in‑the‑Loop, hardware‑in‑the‑loop, flight‑test beds (F‑22/F‑35), Systems Integration Labs, simulators and emulators.
• Mission Systems Knowledge: Airborne radars, EO/IR, EW, CNI, datalinks, weapons integration, mission planning, etc.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with FAA 14 CFR Part 91
• Experience interfacing with customer and program leadership as a decision maker
• Ability to define and execute strategic road‑maps; excellent communication and consensus‑building skills.
• Experience with digital engineering or model-based systems engineering.
• Familiarity with Ground Control Station systems
• Risk and Opportunity Management experience

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $129000.00 - $239600.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
