POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for leading and managing the design, implementation, and optimization of the organization's complex and mission-critical restaurant information technology systems. This role demands a high level of expertise in IT infrastructure, network architecture, and project management to ensure the utmost performance, security, and innovation.

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • System Administration: Performs system installations, configurations, and maintenance on servers, workstations, and network devices. Monitors system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.
  • Strategic Planning: Develops and executes IT infrastructure strategies aligned with the organization's long-term goals. Drive technology innovation and stay ahead of industry trends.
  • Advanced Infrastructure Design: Leads the design and architecture of intricate IT systems, emphasizing scalability, resilience, and high availability. Ensures that systems meet business requirements.
  • Software Management: Installs, upgrades, and maintains software applications, operating systems, and security patches. Resolves software-related issues and provide end-user support. Acts as a liaison between developers and internal customers/business partners to ensure technical compatibility, problem resolution, and customer satisfaction.
  • Payment Systems: Designs and implements payment system solutions and ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure. Conducts advanced risk assessments, implementing robust security measures and providing mentorship on payment system architecture and best practices.
  • System Optimization: Continuously monitors and optimizes system performance, identifies areas for improvement, and implement enhancements to increase efficiency and resource utilization.
  • Advanced Security Measures: Implements advanced security protocols and practices, including threat intelligence, incident response, and advanced penetration testing. Stays vigilant against evolving cyber threats. Responds to and mitigate security incidents.
  • Complex Project Management: Takes charge of large-scale IT projects, managing budgets, resources, and timelines. Collaborates with cross-functional teams and external partners to achieve project objectives.
  • Automation and Orchestration: Develops and maintains sophisticated automation solutions and orchestration workflows to streamline IT operations and enhance productivity.
  • Disaster Recovery: Enhances and maintains disaster recovery plans and procedures to minimize downtime in case of system failures or disasters. Conducts regular testing of recovery processes.
  • Vendor and Partner Relationships: Collaborates with vendors and service providers to evaluate, select, and integrate third-party solutions that align with organizational needs.
  • Documentation and Training: Maintains comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and policies. Provides training to junior staff members and end-users as needed.
  • Advanced Troubleshooting: Serves as the final escalation point for complex technical issues; conducting in-depth root cause analysis and implementing solutions to resolve critical problems.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensures compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices. Stays updated on changes in regulations affecting IT systems.
  • Performs other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required, assigned, and directed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.

Experience: 4-6 years of experience in IT systems engineering or a related role.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent oral and written English communications, interpersonal, organization and problem-solving skills.
  • Requires the ability to quickly learn and apply new skills, work well under pressure & tight deadlines.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work and communicate well with others is necessary.
  • Proficiency in system design, implementation, and administration (MDT, SCCM, Azure, Intune, BigFix, etc.).
  • Advanced knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and execute complex projects.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (C#, Powershell, Python, etc).
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Security+, MCSE) are a plus.
  • Proficient knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

Physical Requirements: Ability to speak/hear clearly in person and on the telephone. Ability to operate a computer keyboard and mouse. Requires extended periods of time working on a computer terminal. Requires the availability and willingness to serve in an on-call rotation to provide night and/or weekend systems support as needed.

The range for this position is $110,900 - $155,100 and is based on an employee located at our corporate headquarters in San Diego. If the candidate is hired in a different city to work remote, we will apply a geographic pay differential based on the cost of labor in the market in which the employee resides.
