Systems Engineer II

Help bring up new studies: configure capture systems, set up protocols, validate end-to-end data flow, and train moderators. Provide remote and in-person technical support to data collection sites — debugging capture rigs, network issues, and pipeline failures.

Our client, a Consumer Products And Software Services company, is looking for a Systems Engineer II for their Sunnyvale, CA location.
 
Responsibilities:

• Provide remote and in-person technical support to data collection sites — debugging capture rigs, network issues, and pipeline failures.
• Help bring up new studies: configure capture systems, set up protocols, validate end-to-end data flow, and train moderators.
• Test new hardware and qualify it for production use.
• Design, prototype, and build custom capture systems and supporting hardware (including PCBs).
• Write and maintain scripts and small tools that automate common moderator and operations workflows.

 
Requirements:

• 2-3 years of hardware and software experience
• Strong Python and general software development skills.
• PCB design experience (schematic capture and layout).
• Comfortable working independently across hardware and software domains.
• Strong debugging instincts and willingness to travel between sites as needed.
• Proficiency in Bash scripting and Linux command-line tools.
• Working knowledge of camera systems (image sensors, lenses, calibration, sync).
