    POSITION OVERVIEW
    As a Systems Engineer (Sr. Member Engineering Staff) Cryptographic Systems / Information Assurance, your roles and responsibilities will include:

    " Apply security and cryptography expertise throughout the Systems Engineering lifecycle to develop and certify high-assurance National Security systems.
    " Support the design, development, integration, and testing of secure solutions for Defense and Intelligence customers.
    " Develop CONOPS, decompose and synthesize security requirements, verify security features, and support security architecture development and analysis.
    " Support design, security test planning, system integration, and verification activities for Type-1 cryptographic communication systems.
    " Support NSA certification activities, secure networking integration, and embedded platform security.
    " Serve as a Subject Matter Expert and Systems Lead for Information Assurance, Security, and Cryptography.
    " Develop and review technical artifacts for formal design reviews.
    " Support certification evidence production, test events, and closure of certification findings.
    " Make and defend security architecture and trade-off decisions for high-assurance systems.
    " Coordinate technical activities across engineering teams and communicate complex security requirements and changes.
    " Travel up to 10% as required.

    QUALIFICATIONS
    Most importantly, you need to be a passionate Systems Engineer who enjoys his work and is considered to be one of the best within your organization. The ideal Systems Engineer would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:

    " 10+ years of Systems Engineering experience supporting Information Assurance systems or related products.
    " At least 5 years of Systems Engineering lifecycle experience from concept through test, including architecture development, functional analysis, requirements allocation and traceability, trade studies, system synthesis, integration, and verification.
    " Proven experience with NSA Type-1 certified or NSA-approved systems or equipment.
    " Experience with the NSA Type-1 certification lifecycle and interactions with NSA technical evaluators.
    " Experience supporting NSA security Certification & Verification activities, including evidence production, test event support, and closure of certification findings.
    " Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience.
    " Hands-on system integration and test experience with complex embedded or networked systems.
    " Experience planning and executing security verification tests.
    " Strong knowledge of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), TLS, and certificate/key management.
    " Knowledge of key management systems, including EKMS and KMI, as applied to End Cryptographic Units (ECUs).
    " Knowledge of Type-1, Suite A, Suite B, and commercial cryptographic algorithms.
    " Experience with secure networking protocols and red/black interface design.
    " Familiarity with embedded Linux development environments for cryptographic devices.
    " Strong security architecture development and technical trade-off skills.
    " Experience with cybersecurity compliance and the Risk Management Framework (RMF) is preferred.
    " CISSP or other cybersecurity certifications are preferred.
    " Active TS/SCI clearance is highly desirable; active Secret clearance is required.
    " Bachelor s degree in an engineering discipline; Master s degree is highly desirable.
    " Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
