    Description

    We are partnering with a state government agency to identify an experienced Systems Analyst to serve as a lead developer within the Office of Information Technology. This senior-level role focuses on facilitating complex software development efforts, mentoring development teams, and serving as a subject matter expert for financial applications. You'll play a critical role in driving business transformation through innovative solutions and process optimization.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Serve as lead developer, facilitator, and subject matter expert for applications and services managing complex financial business processes on large cross-functional projects
    • Ensure implementation of robust, scalable solutions that meet enterprise standards
    • Provide guidance and oversight to quality assurance teams on all new code from inception through integration, staging, and production environments
    • Document critical business processes and analyze current business functions for effectiveness and efficiency opportunities
    • Assist in process redesign and re-engineering efforts in areas impacted by ongoing business transformation
    • Identify, analyze, and resolve complex technical problems using advanced troubleshooting tools, techniques, and collaborative approaches
    • Mentor and provide technical guidance to other developers, ensuring adherence to software development standards
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives including design, roadmap definition, and standardization of processes and methodologies
    • Collaborate with developers and architects to establish guidelines, methodologies, and comprehensive documentation
    • Partner with distributed cross-functional teams to ensure all project aspects are effectively communicated, supported, and delivered to the highest standards
    • Develop and maintain applications dealing with complex financial systems and dependent business processes
    • Stay current with trends, relevant software development technologies, and emerging methodologies
    • Additional duties as assigned

    Required Qualifications
    Education:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field (or equivalent work experience)
    Experience:
    • Minimum 7+ years as a lead developer or development manager
    • Minimum 5+ years of broad experience with development technologies including Azure SQL, SQL Server, Oracle databases, or similar relational databases
    • Extensive experience with development and maintenance of software systems managing complex financial business processes
    Technical Skills (Required):
    • Advanced proficiency in relational database terminology, concepts, and SQL
    • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio/.NET
    • Strong experience with ORMs, Entity Framework, and n-Hibernate
    • Proven ability to create SQL, Power BI, and SSRS reports
    • Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
    • Expertise in conducting complex systems analysis and translating user requirements into business solutions
    Soft Skills:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong interpersonal, conflict resolution, and customer service abilities
    • Proven leadership skills with ability to effectively communicate with and lead development teams
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume, deadline-driven environment
    • Skilled at balancing multiple demands and priorities
    • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively as part of a team
    • Ability to integrate research and best practices into problem avoidance and continuous improvement initiatives
    • Professional demeanor when interacting with all levels of management and staff
    Additional Requirements:
    • Valid Driver's License required
    • Must be authorized to work in the United States
    Preferred:
    • Prior government/public sector experience
    • Experience with business transformation initiatives
    • Financial systems and accounting process knowledge
